About Us

Explore & Develop Breakfast Point, Long Day Care and Pre-School is a new and purpose built centre located in the beautiful grounds of the Breakfast Point housing development in the Inner West and conveniently located opposite the IGA Supermarket.
The centre is privately owned and operated by Michelle Adland and Jayne Morgan who are at the centre each day to assist with welcoming your children and to answer and queries or question that you may have.
 
 
 
We have recently been Accredited by the National Childcare Accreditation Council (NCAC) and were successful in achieving a 'High Quality' rating for all 7 Quality Areas.
 
We are currently taking enrolments across all age groups. So please do not hesitate to phone 9743 0055 for further information or to arrange a time to come and view the centre.
 


Here is some information designed to answer any initial questions but please feel free to call us.

  • We open at 7.30am and close at 6.00pm, Monday to Friday (Closed Public Holidays)
  • We provide care for 6 weeks – 6 year olds, offering a structured programme for every age group
  • We operate 51weeks of the year closing for approximately 1 week during the Christmas Break when fees are not payable
  • Enrolments are offered for 2,3 or 5 days only
  • We provide an educational program with an anti-bias perspective, which is designed to be a busy and active program for learning. It is also designed to meet the needs of each individual child
  • We have experienced and qualified educators for all of the age groups. All our educators will have undergone a Working with Children Check, most are First Aid trained and all regularly attend training courses on the latest Early Childhood Education
  • We ensure a close working relationship with the Department of Community Services and National Childcare Accreditation Council so that we are able to provide a high level service to you where all safety and regulatory requirements are met.
  • Child Care Benefit is offered to all families. Our centre CRN# 407 262 127L for registration with Family Assistance Office on Ph: 13 61 50 
  • Morning tea, a hot lunch, afternoon tea and late snack are all supplied and our nutritionally balanced menu is available for your review on a weekly basis. We are also able to cater to most allergies.
  • When leaving the Centre TWO weeks notice is required. Cancellation of enrolment is not accepted in the month of December.
  • On commencement of your child’s attendance we require a two week bond which can be applied for your final two weeks of attendance
  • All fees are payable during Absences. This includes illness, public holidays, school or private holidays. You will however receive your Allowable Absence reduction as normally offered by the Family Assistance Office
 


What you will need to provide:

  • A set of kindy sheets are required by you for your child’s daily rest time (toddlers and preschoolers only).
  • Children are required to wear hats all year round and no thongs are permitted
  • A drink bottle of water, clearly labelled for all children. Bottles of milk or formula made up must be supplied by parents if applicable. We serve milk with both morning and afternoon tea.
  • Nappies are to be supplied by parents
